Background

The Paris Agreement COP – 21 UNFCCC, requires countries around the world to set emission reduction targets while initiating various steps towards sustainable development, the determination is a response to climate change as the main risk of damage after the instability of the 2019 Global Risk Survey). 

As a member country of the UNFCCC, the NDC is Indonesia’s guide in its actions on climate change in the country, providing a great opportunity for national stakeholders to realize participatory (convergence) in reducing greenhouse gas emissions by up to 29 percent by 2030, as well as efforts to prevent global temperature increases in the country. below 2°c.. 

The spirit behind the implementation of NDC in the midst of the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, caused the holding of COP-26, especially the Indonesia Pavilion to undergo a slight change in format, where at the time of implementation, all sessions were carried out offline in the Indonesian pavilion in the UN Compound, but this time , there were several sessions held in Hybrid, and via live streaming to the Indonesian Pavilion at Manggala Wanabakti – Jakarta, Indonesia.

Furthermore, the Indonesian Pavilion at Manggala Wanabakti – Jakarta will also feature exhibitions that can be accessed virtually by visitors from abroad.  To give confidence to the international community in Indonesia’s commitment to the fight against climate change, the INDONESIA PAVILION with a proven track record of being successfully implemented in more than 6 countries, has not only received wide acclaim, but is also supported by various international government agencies and influential NGOs.

The Indonesian Pavilion at COP 26 Glasgow and the INDONESIA PAVILION VIRTUAL EXPO & FORUM COP-26 UNFCCC became a strategy in voicing effective policies, innovations, solutions and strategies for the development of clean energy, the reality of forest enrichment, international cooperation programs, the Indonesian Pavilion at COP 26 – Glasgow, will be the center of attention for the presentation of innovations and actions of the Indonesian government as well as business circles and NGOs as an integral part of Indonesia’s climate change control action
